We’re more than marketers—we sustain narratives. Storytelling is at the heart of what we do, and I learned storytelling before it was cool: I got my start as a published writer. My work has even appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
I’m currently an Assistant Account Executive at Red Havas, where I utilize my skills in account services, social media and media relations. I work with B2B and B2C clients worldwide, across a spectrum of industries—from healthcare to materials science. On any given day, you’ll find me creating social media content, pitching to journalists, drafting news releases, blogging, planning events…in PR, we wear many hats.
I’m active in the community. I serve on the board of PRSA Pittsburgh as the PR Summit Lead and I volunteer with the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation. I also joined TogetherDigital Pittsburgh this year—I’m excited to sharpen my digital marketing skills with this inspiring group.
Pursuing an MBA at Duquesne University taught me the importance of strategy, which I learned throughout my coursework:
In Brand Marketing, I discovered how strong brands are born.
In Consumer Behavior, I identified what drives different market segments.
In Advertising Campaigns, Writing & Production, I worked within a team as the lead copywriter to create an integrated marketing campaign for a local ice cream shop.
In Marketing Strategy and Models, I built SWOT analysis charts and competitive matrix diagrams to understand how products and brands differentiate themselves in the market.
I spent two years working as a business consultant at the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). At the SBDC, I provided clients with the constructive critique they needed to design websites, craft brochures, refine social media accounts, create flyers and formulate marketing plans. I also conducted market research to give clients a clear picture of their industries and target markets.
I’m a proud Pitt alum with a strong liberal arts background. My English Writing major taught me how to write concisely. My Political Science major refined my research skills. My Philosophy minor expanded my thinking.
All of this has made me who I am today. I’m more than a marketer—I sustain narratives.
